Treatment methods of different leakage parts of kitchen faucet

To deal with such problems, replacing the faucet is a way, but it is not a good choice, at least not in line with the principle of environmental protection. As a user, for the leakage of kitchen faucet, different treatment methods should be adopted according to different parts of the leakage. Let's have a look.

Kitchen faucet is generally composed of the following parts: handle, valve core, packing, packing nut, washer, valve parts, etc. A problem with one of these components may cause the faucet to leak.

1. Water leakage at water outlet

The kitchen faucet is leaking. In case of water leakage at the outlet, it is due to the wear of the axial gasket in the faucet.

Solution: loosen and remove the gland bolt with pliers, take out the shaft gasket with a clamp and replace it with a new one.

2. The gap at the lower part of the faucet bolt is leaking

The leakage of the gap at the lower part of the faucet bolt is caused by the wear of the triangular sealing gasket in the gland.

Solution: loosen the screw, remove the bolt head, loosen and remove the gland, and then take out the triangular sealing gasket inside the gland and replace it with a new one.

3. Water leakage at nozzle joint

The water leakage at the joint of the connecting pipe is roughly caused by the loosening of the cap nut.

Solution: you can re tighten the cap nut or replace it with a new U-shaped gasket.

In fact, sometimes the leakage of kitchen faucet is not necessarily related to the faucet itself. Improper installation of water supply hose and faucet body will also cause water leakage. Therefore, when checking the water leakage of faucet, don't forget to look at the water supply hose. The problems caused by aging and bursting of water supply hose are more serious.
